Ancient City of Ephesus: We'll meet you at Izmir International Cruise Port upon arrival and drive to Selçuk to visit Ephesus.
Ephesus draws millions of people every year with its history and spiritual importance. Ephesus used to be a major Roman City and a busy trade hub. Also, as the home of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World, Ephesus was a popular city. Virgin Mary's House: Virgin Mary's House is a humble stone house overlooking Ephesus from the Bulbul Mountain. Discovered by the Lazarist priests following the visions of a German nun Katherine Emerick, today, it is a pilgrimage site for Muslims and Christians. You can pray in the chapel or find peace at the serene garden. This is a spiritual experience.
The Temple of Artemis: Our final stop is the Temple of Artemis. The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, dedicated to Artemis, the goddess of fertility and hunting. Once a massive structure with 127 marble columns, it was a major religious and cultural center of its time. Though only a few ruins remain today, it still stands as a symbol of Ephesus' ancient glory and significance in history.
