Grand Bazaar: The Grand Bazaar, or "Kapalıçarşı" in Turkish, is one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world. It is located in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey, and covers an area of over 30,000 square meters. The Grand Bazaar was first constructed in the 15th century, during the reign of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, and has since expanded over the centuries to include over 60 streets and alleys, and more than 4,000 shops. Closed on Sundays.

It was constructed in the mid-17th century as part of the New Mosque complex, and is home to a vibrant array of stalls selling a variety of spices, herbs, dried fruits, nuts, and sweets.
